Fruit Salad – the Ayurvedic Way

As the mornings grow lighter and warmer, we need to choose breakfasts that are vibrant and cooler, mirroring the emerging colours of nature.

Fruit salads are an excellent choice, particularly for Pitta and Kapha body types. I add a dollop of vegan yogurt containing ground pumpkin, sesame and flax seeds for added protein and calcium.

  • Blueberries are packed with antioxidants, protect the liver and help with memory loss.

  • Raspberries are excellent for heart circulation

  • Red grapes nourish and cool the blood

  • Pomegranate reduces inflammation, is both sweet and cooling (Pitta reducing)

  • Bananas contain potassium and help restore electrolytes (great for Vata)

*Ayurveda advises not to combine dairy with fruit but coconut yoghurt works well.

By understanding yourself through the lens of Ayurveda, you gain the tools to work with your body’s natural intelligence, rather than against it. If you feel called to explore this path, I am here to guide and support you on your journey back to wholeness.
